Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan chairs reception hosted by the King in honor of the Atlas Cubs, winner of U-20 World Cup 2025

Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, chaired, on Wednesday at the Royal Palace in Rabat, on the High Instructions of King Mohammed VI, a reception hosted by the Monarch in honor of the members of the U-20 national football team, following their triumph in the 2025 World Cup organized in Chile.

The Crown Prince was greeted by the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa, the team head coach, Mohamed Ouahbi, and the members of the national team.

The team members were then invited to a tea party, held in their honor.

This reception highlights the utmost care the King has always granted to youth empowerment and flourishing through sport and the special attention that the Sovereign grants to this sector in general and to football in particular.

The ceremony follows the historic achievement made by the U-20 national team, which claimed the world cup title, an unprecedented feat in the history of Moroccan and Arab football.

This triumph is fully part of the King’s enlightened and proactive vision that elevated national sport training to the highest international standards, notably through the Mohammed VI Football Academy, a genuine breeding ground of Moroccan young talents. Thus, it also represents a source of deep pride for the entire Nation and highlights the values of effort, perseverance and work, which pave the way for success and excellence.

Following the Atlas Cubs’ victory against the Argentine team in the U-20 FIFA World Cup final, the King has sent them a congratulatory message in which the Monarch emphasized that the Moroccan team had aptly honored its country and its youth, by properly representing the Kingdom and the African Continent.

After leaving the Royal Palace, the team paraded aboard a bus some of Rabat avenues packed with thousands of supporters come from across the Kingdom to reserve a triumphant welcome home to the World champions and to express their joy and pride following their historic victory at the World Cup in Chile.

The capital city was awash in red and green, with thousands of supporters greeting their young heroes—the architects of an unprecedented feat: lifting Morocco, and with it the entire Arab world, to the pinnacle of global football.
This collective jubilation symbolized the nation’s recognition and shared pride felt by all Moroccans following the resounding victory of the Atlas Cubs.

The bus carrying the world champions moved slowly through a jubilant crowd. The smiling players waved to fans chanting endlessly, “Siiir… Siiir!” and “Dima Maghrib!” With smartphones raised high, families, children, and onlookers sought to capture every instant of this historic moment.

Under a radiant sky, Rabat offered a celebration worthy of the achievement—a tribute to a talented, determined, and inspiring youth that embodied the spirit of victory and national unity.
