Angola’s Capital-Market Trading Jumps 66.65% in Second Quarter of 2026

Trading on Angola’s capital market reached 1.76 trillion kwanzas during the second quarter of 2026, representing a year-on-year increase of 66.65 per cent.

The Capital Market Commission announced the figures in Luanda on Tuesday, 25 August 2026. It said 13,406 transactions were completed between April and June, an increase of 96.71 per cent compared with the same period in 2025.

Non-adjustable Treasury bonds dominated the regulated market, accounting for 77.55 per cent of trading. Foreign-currency Treasury bonds represented 17.06 per cent, Treasury bills accounted for 4.64 per cent, while equities contributed 0.70 per cent.

Retail investors conducted 84.85 per cent of all transactions, compared with 15.15 per cent by corporate investors. However, corporate investors dominated by value, trading 1.66 trillion kwanzas against 109.50 billion kwanzas by retail investors.
