Princess Lalla Hasnaa, President of the Foundation for the Safeguarding of Cultural Heritage of Rabat, was received Monday in Baku by Mehriban Aliyeva, First Lady of Azerbaijan and President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
The meeting was attended by Moroccan minister of Culture Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, Morocco’s ambassador to Baku Mohamed Adil Embarch, Secretary General of the Foundation for the Safeguarding of Cultural Heritage of Rabat Lalla Nouzha Alaoui, Vice-Pdt. of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, Executive Director of the Foundation Anar Alakbarov and presidential Advisor Mukhtar Babayev .
Princess Lalla Hasnaa visited the same day Baku’s Alley of Honor where she paid tribute to the memory of Late national leader Heydar Aliyev and laid a wreath at his tomb.
The Princess also visited the Martyrs’ Alley, where she paid tribute to the fallen heroes for Azerbaijan’s independence and laid red carnations on four martyrs’ tombs. Princess Lalla Hasnaa also laid flowers on the eternal flame memorial.
On Sunday, the Princess visited the International Carpet Festival of Baku, which celebrates cultural heritage of this country and its handicraft.
