Morocco Foils Terror Plot Targeting Kingdom’s Stability

Moroccan authorities announced on Wednesday the arrest of four jihadists in the northern region of the country. The terrorist cell, which pledged allegiance to ISIS, was planning to carry out bombings to undermine the Kingdom’s security and stability.

Last Friday, Moroccan police captured a 21-year-old female radical student in Rabat following a tip sent by the French intelligence agency. The nabbed young woman, an ISIS fanatical supporter, was preparing terrorist operations by acquiring information about the use of explosives and the preparation of toxic substances.

She also started gathering the materials necessary to carry out a terrorist attack believed against a religious site in Rabat. Investigators found in her premises highly flammable materials and ISIS propaganda manuscripts.
