Chinese automotive supplier Tianyouwei sets up Moroccan subsidiary

Chinese automotive electronics manufacturer Tianyouwei has announced the creation of a subsidiary in Morocco that will specialize in the production of electronic dashboards and the development of smart vehicle interiors.

The company will invest €65 million in the Moroccan plant, fully financed through its own capital, Moroccan business media reported.

The facility will serve as a strategic base to optimize global production planning, stabilize delivery capacity, and enhance responsiveness to customer demand across Europe and Africa.

Tianyouwei’s decision to establish operations in Morocco reflects the country’s growing appeal as a regional manufacturing hub that has already attracted leading Chinese EV battery manufacturers.

Morocco offers proximity to European markets, a competitive industrial platform, and a rapidly expanding automotive ecosystem. The company already supplies major global automakers including Hyundai, BYD, Changan, Chery, FAW Bestune, and Geely.
