Angola Positions Itself as an Emerging Global Tourist Destination

On Tuesday, November 18 2025, the Angolan Government, through its Ministry of Tourism, has unveiled an ambitious international strategy to raise the country’s profile as a major tourism destination.
Minister Márcio Daniel highlighted that Angola plans to attract significant foreign investment by finalising a “Tourism Doing Business” guide, aimed at presenting the country’s potential in investor-friendly language.
He also noted the advanced development of a Tourism Academy in partnership with UN Tourism, which will offer professional training and a UN‑recognized seal of quality to build local capacity across the sector.
To support this expansion, the Government has launched four key strategic projects — Capacita Turismo, Comunica Turismo, Planifica Turismo, and Reclassifica Turismo — designed to restructure the industry around training, communications, planning, and service quality.
A centerpiece of the plan is the brand “Visit Angola – The Rhythm of Life,” which Minister Daniel described as Angola’s global calling‑card, framing the country as a modern, accessible, and culturally rich destination. Angola has secured its status as a host country for the International Tourism Fair to be held next year.
