King Mohammed VI has underlined the importance he attaches to strengthening the historic bonds of fraternity and solidarity uniting Morocco and Mali.
This came in a message of congratulations and best wishes the Monarch addressed to Mali’s Transitional President Gen. Assimi Goita and to the Malian people on the occasion on the Independence Day celebrated on September 22.
The King has also reaffirmed Morocco’s constant readiness to work with Mali to strengthen further cooperation ties for a stable, united, and prosperous Africa.
The two countries share deep historical, cultural, and fraternal ties, rooted in shared Islamic heritage. Under King Mohammed VI’s South-South cooperation strategy, relations gained momentum, focusing on economic development, security in the Sahel region, and mutual support amid regional instability.
