Means to deepen agricultural cooperation between Mauritania and India were discussed at talks held on Tuesday between Agriculture Minister Mohamedou Ahmadou Mhaimid and Indian Ambassador Neeraj Agrawal.
Discussions centred on developing a joint cooperation program aligned with Mauritania’s agricultural priorities, aimed at enhancing productivity and strengthening food sovereignty.
The minister highlighted India’s expertise in irrigation, mechanization, seed development and extension services as key areas that could support the modernization of the sector. He also underscored opportunities for public-private partnerships to drive structured, high-impact projects.
