The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) will host the 7th Africa Emerging Markets Forum from July 29 to July 30, 2026.
Held under the theme “Building Resilience Amidst Geoeconomic Uncertainties”, the event will focus on strategies to strengthen African economies amid global economic challenges, including regional integration, financial technology, infrastructure development, foreign investment and artificial intelligence.
The Forum, organized by the CBN in partnership with the Africa Emerging Markets Forum and the Centre for the Study of the Economies of Africa (CSEA), will bring together policymakers, central bankers, economists, development partners and business leaders from across Africa and beyond. Director-General of the World Trade Organization Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, World Bank Chief Economist Indermit Gill, and Chief Executive of Emerging Markets Forum Harinder Kohli are also expected at the event.
Organizers say the two-day event aims to promote evidence-based policymaking and develop practical solutions to support sustainable and inclusive economic growth across emerging markets.
