Benin’s capital Cotonou will host on July 13 this year the Ordinary General Assembly of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the African football governing body announced.
The meeting will be the first to take place in the West African country striving to develop its sport industry and football diplomacy.
“CAF is looking forward to working closely with Benin’s Football Association, Government, and various stakeholders in hosting the CAF’s Member Associations in Cotonou,” the Confederation said.
Previously, Benin hosted the 2021 Total Energies CAF Confederation Cup between Algeria’s JS Kabylie and Raja ClubAthletic of Morocco.
