Twenty-four human skulls have been discovered at the home of a man who claims to be a traditional healer on the outskirts of Kampala, Uganda. The police announced the find on Thursday August 29, just a month after a similar discovery was made in central Uganda.
Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesman Luke Oweyesigire confirmed that the skulls were found in Nateete, following a tip from neighbors. The police conducted a search on Sunday August 25, leading to the grim discovery.
The suspect, who was arrested, is facing charges for violating laws against human sacrifice. Oweyesigire stated that while the man claims to be a traditional healer, this claim is still under investigation.
This recent find follows an earlier discovery on July 28, when 17 skulls, including some belonging to children, were uncovered in an underground room in the village of Kabanga, about 40 kilometers west of Kampala. The property owner where those skulls were found was arrested on August 19.
