Morocco’s cabinet restructuring: 8 New Ministers, 6 New Secretaries of State Appointed; No Change at Head of Key Ministries

King Mohammed VI received this Wednesday at the Royal Palace in Rabat, the members of the government following a mid-term reshuffle that witnessed the appointment of 14 new comers, including 6 secretaries of State.

 

The newly appointed ministers will hold the portfolios of education, higher education, health, agriculture, transport, and solidarity & social integration. The new comers also include a minister delegate in charge of investment, convergence and evaluation of public policies, and a minister delegate in charge of digital transition and administrative reform.

 

Key ministers in the foreign affairs, interior, finance, defense and religious affairs kept their positions.

The new members of the cabinet were sworn in before the Monarch.

The line-up of the 31-member restructured cabinet is as follows:

Nasser Bourita: Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates;

Mohamed Hajoui: Secretary General of the Government;

 

Nadia Fettah: Minister of the Economy and Finance;

Mohamed Saad Berrada: Minister of National Education, Pre-school Learning and Sports;

 

Amine Tahraoui: Minister of Health and Social Protection;
