Guinea-Bissau’s Economic Promotion Week in Morocco Kicks off in Rabat

Guinea-Bissau’s economic promotion week in Morocco was launched on Monday in Rabat, the aim being to promote the country’s economic potential across various business sectors and fostering win-win business partnerships between Moroccan and Bissau-Guinean operators.

The launch of this economic week in Morocco took place during a meeting chaired by Director General of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI), Mohamed Methqal, alongside a high-level delegation from the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, according to an AMCI press release.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss strengthening the economic partnership between Morocco and Guinea-Bissau, aligning with the vision championed by King Mohammed VI for a sustainable and emerging Africa.

The Bissau-Guinean delegation, led by Patrícia Cadi Fati, Director General of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, includes senior officials representing various ministries, as well as representatives from Guinea-Bissau’s Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services.

The presence of this high-level delegation reflects the shared determination of both countries to strengthen their economic ties and help attract more investment while expanding commercial trade.

The economic promotion week program features meetings in Rabat, Casablanca, and Dakhla with public institutions and private economic operators, including the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and sectoral federations, the Professional Group of Moroccan Banks (GPBM), Casablanca Finance City (CFC) and its corporate ecosystem, and the Regional Investment Center (CRI) of Dakhla.

These meetings will serve to highlight the economic potential of Guinea-Bissau and its key investment sectors, particularly in infrastructure, agriculture, energy, tourism, and financial services.

This initiative falls within the framework of actions undertaken by the Moroccan Foreign Ministry to support the Kingdom’s economic diplomacy internationally, through the AMCI and its partners such as the CGEM, GPBM, CFC, the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, and the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE), the press release said.
