A member of the Polisario separatist militias has been arrested by the Spanish police in the Balearic Island for advocating terrorism, local media said.
The woman was also preparing and instigating terrorist acts against Morocco and is now facing charges of calling for “Jihad” against the North African nation, Diario Di Mallorca reported.
The Audiencia Nacional, the highest court in Spain, has confirmed the trial on charges including extremism.
Spanish investigators found in her Telegram messenger App incriminating chats and messages seeking to acquire terrorist material including explosive vests. She also shared radical videos inciting militants to engage in violent acts against the North African Kingdom, said Diario de Mallorca.
The accused was sending messages on Telegram where she tried to acquire explosive vests to be used for terrorist ends, the media said.
The arrest came as the Polisario attempted in vain to target civilians in the area of Mahbes in vain.
In October last year, the Polisario targeted a residential area in Smara killing one and damaging a house.
This came as the separatist militias faces backlash in the camps relegated to it by the Algerian regime where an increasing number of disenchanted youths are being recruited by terrorist groups engaging in all sorts of criminal and trafficking activities.
