Morocco’s King undergoes surgery on his left shoulder at Royal Palace clinic in Rabat – Statement

King Mohammed VI has suffered a fall during a usual sporting activity on Sunday, December 8, 2024. The fall traumatized his left shoulder, causing a fracture to the humerus, a statement by his medical team said.

The fracture required surgery, which was successfully performed the same day at the Royal Palace Clinic in Rabat.

Following this surgery, the King’s left shoulder will be immobilized for a period of 45 days, followed by a period of functional rehabilitation, said the statement by the medical team composed of Pr. Belyamani Lahcen, personal physician of the King; Pr. Zine Ali; Pr. Bouabid Salim; Pr. Benchekroun Mohammed; and traumatology professors at the Mohammed V Military Training Hospital in Rabat.
