Morocco Launches ‘AfriDou@ne’ Program to Boost African Customs Cooperation

Morocco’s Customs and Indirect Tax Administration (ADII) has announced the launch of the “AfriDou@ne” program, a flagship international cooperation initiative aligned with its 2024-2028 strategic plan.

The program hopes to promote sharing of experiences and best practices to strengthen customs cooperation among African countries, ADII announced in a statement.

As part of this initiative, Morocco will share its experience in modernizing customs services, streamlining procedures, digitalization, and aligning with international standards, the statement added.

Through this program, the ADII supports Morocco’s South-South cooperation policy by strengthening ties with friendly countries and expanding its network of partnerships across the continent.

The launch of this program comes at a crucial time, as African customs administrations play a key role in implementing the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and achieving the continent’s economic integration goals, particularly by boosting intra-African trade.
