On Sunday January 19, Dbeibah held a meeting with Suleiman in his office in Tripoli to review the status of the plan to increase oil production and the advancement of development projects in the sector, as reported by the Hakomitna media platform on its Facebook page.
The platform further reported that Suleiman outlined the current daily production figures, which include 1,419,958 barrels of crude oil, 52,075 barrels of condensates, and 205,741 barrels of gas equivalent, bringing the total daily production to 1,677,774 barrels.
During the meeting, Dbeibah reiterated the Government of National Unity’s full support for the NOC’s efforts to boost production and stabilise the sector, commending the significant contributions made by workers across various oil sites.
Last Thursday, Dbeibah appointed Suleiman as Acting Chairman of the NOC’s Board of Directors, following the resignation of Farhat Bengdara for health reasons. This appointment will remain in effect until the next cabinet meeting, which will decide on the formation of a new Board of Directors for the NOC.
