2025 AFCON draw will be watched in more than 90 countries, a draw described by CAF President as “exciting”

The Morocco-2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) draw to be held this Monday evening in Rabat will be watched in more than 90 countries.

Actually, football lovers in more than 90 countries, including in Africa, the Middle East, Europe, North and South America will be able to watch the Final Draw, as it will be streamed live on CAF official website, CAFONLINE.COM and CAFTV (YouTube).

Leading the global broadcasters are CAF’s traditional partners, beIN Sport (MENA, Europe, America, South Pacific), Canal+, SABC, Azam Media, AfroSport, Nigeria Broadcasting Corporation, SNRT, DAZN and many others.

The Draw will be live on the Free to Air Platforms of 46 African countries, including all the 24 participating nations, thus ensuring access for fans.

The TotalEnergies CAF AFCON Morocco 2025 will take place from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.

President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe, who arrived in Rabat Sunday to attend the ceremony, said that the Morocco-2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) draw will be “exciting,” and that this 35th edition will be the most successful in the competition’s history.

“The 2025 AFCON draw, which will be held on Monday evening in Rabat, will be exciting. Everyone expects to know the host country’s opponents,” enthused the CAF President, as he arrived in Rabat-Salé Airport on Sunday.

“For me, it’s always very special to return to Morocco, a country that occupies a special place in my heart,” he added, expressing his thanks to King Mohammed VI for supporting the development of football in Africa. “We highly appreciate the Sovereign’s efforts in this direction.”

He also congratulated the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaa, for “the remarkable work he is doing to develop football, for the good of the Moroccan people and the people of Africa.”

“When African countries, like the Kingdom, shine, all Africa is proud,” he said, adding that there could be no better venue for the tournament than Morocco.

The CAF President also stated that in 2030, the World Cup will return to Africa for the second time in its history, and that holding competitions of this quality on the continent contributes to the development of African football.

“Morocco showed us the way in Qatar in 2022, by reaching the semi-finals,” he said, adding that the African teams who will compete in the 2026 World Cup are sure to shine.

“Morocco has entered history, and Africa too,” he stressed, expressing his conviction that an African team will end up winning the World Cup one day.
