
Egypt has reaffirmed steadfast support for Sudan and its national institutions, and expressed hope for a resolution to the crisis that would safeguard the country’s State institutions.
This came during a meeting in Cairo Tuesday between Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ali Yousuf Ahmed Al-Sharif. Madbouli stressed Egypt’s commitment to providing humanitarian aid to Sudan through the Egyptian Red Crescent.
The Prime Minister also highlighted that Egyptian companies were prepared to contribute to Sudan’s reconstruction efforts, aiming to accelerate recovery and enhance living conditions in the country. Foreign Affairs Minister Badr Abdelatty attended the meeting, which underscored the strong and enduring ties between Egypt and Sudan, particularly in times of crisis.
The Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed interest in collaborating with Egyptian construction firms, noting that an Egyptian company had already been selected for the first major reconstruction project in Sudan. Sharif also praised the ongoing cooperation between the two nations, emphasizing Sudan’s commitment to restoring security and stability. Additionally, the Sudanese ambassador in Cairo announced plans for a gratitude event in April to honor Egypt’s support.
