
The Moroccan women’s national futsal team secured a spot in the final of the Africa Futsal Cup of Nations on Monday evening and clinched qualification for the 2025 Futsal Women’s World Cup as the representative of the African continent. The world cup will be held in the Philippines.
This latest achievement for Moroccan football came after the “Atlas Lionesses” defeated Angola in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup, with a commanding 5–1 victory at the indoor hall of the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.
The first half of the match ended in a 1–1 draw, but the second half saw an outstanding performance from the Moroccan side, who went on to secure a clear and decisive win.
Earlier in the tournament, the Moroccan women’s team had also impressed during the group stage of the 2025 Africa Futsal Cup of Nations, posting large victories against Namibia (8–1) and Cameroon (7–1).
