Aeronautics: Morocco, Supplier of Boeing 737 Max Components

Several spare parts of Boeing 737 MAX will be manufactured in Morocco under an agreement sealed Monday between the U.S. aircraft manufacturer and French group FIGEAC AÉRO which has a production site in Casablanca suburbs.

Under the agreement, FIGEAC AÉRO pledges to produce machined aluminum parts for the 737 MAX at its Casablanca Aéronautique facility which employs 900 people, handles services like machining, sheet metal work, surface treatment, and assembly.

In February 2025, FIGEAC AÉRO North America signed a deal with Spirit AeroSystems to provide surface treatment services for large aluminium panels used in the 737 MAX’s fuel cells.

Morocco’s aeronautics sector has seen remarkable growth over the past two decades, becoming Africa’s leading exporter of aerospace equipment and a key player in the global supply chain.

The country’s aerospace industrial zone, located in Casablanca suburbs,

The sector employs over 21,000 skilled workers. Exports reached over $2.2 billion in the first ten months of 2024, reflecting a 17.3% growth compared to 2023.
