King Mswati III to Visit Ghana Next Week for Bilateral Talks and Royal Engagements

King Mswati III of Eswatini will embark on a four-day State visit to Ghana from Tuesday, 24 June to Saturday, 28 June 2025. His visit begins in Accra, where he will hold bilateral discussions with President Mahama and witness the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at deepening diplomatic and economic cooperation. He is also expected to visit the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat before travelling to Kumasi.
In Kumasi, the King will be hosted by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and take part in a range of cultural and official engagements.
These include a visit to the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, a tour of the Manhyia Palace Museum, an address to the National House of Chiefs, and a grand durbar in his honour. His itinerary will conclude with a Royal Banquet and a ceremonial event at KNUST alongside the Asantehene. The visit is anticipated to bolster Ghana–Eswatini relations and celebrate the enduring cultural ties between the two kingdoms.
