Royal Air Maroc Launches 12 Special Flights to Houston for World Cup Round of 16

Morocco’s carrier Royal Air Maroc has announced 12 special return flights between Casablanca and Houston to accommodate the surge of supporters eager to attend Morocco’s round-of-16 clash against Canada at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Atlas Lions are scheduled to face Canada on July 4 in the Texan city, having qualified for the knockout stage of the tournament.

The operation makes available more than 3,000 seats at a fixed price of 10,000 dirhams return, all taxes included, in economy class. Tickets went on sale this Wednesday, July 1, through RAM agencies across Morocco and via the airline’s dedicated online portal. Passengers are advised that bookings are non-modifiable and non-refundable.

The initiative marks a first in the national carrier’s history, as Royal Air Maroc has never previously operated a service to Houston. The exceptional nature of Morocco’s World Cup campaign — played on North American soil, where RAM holds a strategic position as a leading African and Arab carrier — lends the deployment both commercial and symbolic weight.

The announcement reflects the scale of demand generated by Morocco’s strong tournament run. The Atlas Lions’ qualification for the round of 16, achieved following their victory over the Netherlands in the group stage, has triggered a surge in interest from fans keen to travel and follow the team in person.

RAM said the operation extends an earlier airlift program put in place during the group stage and previous rounds, during which it transported thousands of fans to matches played in the USA and the match played in Monterrey, Mexico.

As the national team’s official carrier, RAM described the operation as an expression of its role as a link between Morocco and its players abroad, mobilizing its technical, logistical, and commercial resources to give the maximum number of supporters direct access to what is shaping up as a landmark chapter in Moroccan football history.
