Cameroon and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have unveiled the contours of the health protocol during the next African Cup of Nations (AFCON 2021), scheduled from January 9 to February 6, 2022.
After the threats from Europe, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) is organizing a response, strongly confirming that the African Cup of Nations will be held in Cameroon from January 9.
Regarding the health aspect of the 2021 African Cup of Nations, which worried the European clubs, CAF has some strong arguments: daily controls will be organized for all those who, players or not, will have access to the playing fields. These tests will be carried out by Unilab, a leading laboratory that was selected for the last Euro. Similarly, only spectators who have been vaccinated and tested will have access to the stands.
Measures likely to reassure European clubs and to push FIFA to sanction clubs that refuse to release their players.
