At Least 21 Killed in Fatal Road Collision on Zaria-Kano Highway in Nigeria

A tragic road accident on the Zaria-Kano highway in Nigeria’s Kano State claimed the lives of at least 21 people on Sunday, July 06. According to a statement from Abdullahi Labaran, spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the state, the collision involved a trailer and a passenger bus, leaving three others injured. Rescue teams were swiftly deployed to the scene to carry out emergency evacuation and recovery operations.
The FRSC confirmed that the charred remains of the victims were transported to the Nassarawa Hospital Mortuary in Kano, while those injured were admitted to Garun Malam General Hospital for treatment.
