President Daniel Chapo of Mozambique met in Addis Ababa over the week-end with Abdullah Almusaibeeh, President of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), to advance financial cooperation focused on climate resilience and social service enhancement.
The discussions reviewed the state of relations and outlined strategies for new investments aimed at improving living conditions. Almusaibeeh described the meeting as productive, noting there were no major disputes, only challenges to address. Priority topics included responding to natural disasters, reconstruction financing, and accelerating projects in sectors such as food, health, and essential social services.
Both parties also discussed resolving previous financial commitments to facilitate new funding. Technical teams from BADEA are set to develop initiatives guided by the Mozambican President’s instructions, ensuring tangible benefits for communities.
The meeting reinforces BADEA’s commitment to supporting Mozambique’s sustainable development and strengthening local infrastructure and humanitarian response.
