Nairobi to Host East African Business and Investment Summit 2026

The East African Business and Investment Summit and Expo 2026 (EABIS 2026) will take place in Nairobi, Kenya, from 24 to 25 February, organisers have confirmed.

In a statement issued over the week-end, the East African Business Council (EABC) said the summit is being co-organised with the Kenya Private Sector Alliance and the East African Community (EAC) Secretariat.

More than 500 participants are expected to attend, including regional ministers, investors and leading business executives from across the bloc and beyond.
The forum seeks to deepen private sector-led integration as a catalyst for enhanced trade and investment within the eight-member community.

Organisers noted that the gathering comes at a pivotal moment, as African economies advance implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area and the Tripartite Free Trade Area Agreement.

The programme will feature high-level discussions on regional prosperity, infrastructure connectivity, industrialisation and digital innovation. Breakout sessions are expected to address emerging policy and regulatory issues, including digital taxation, e-commerce frameworks and financing mechanisms for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Regional value chains in textiles, leather and edible oils will also be spotlighted, with exhibitors showcasing products and participating in business-to-business engagements with continental partners.

Organisers say the summit is designed to strengthen cross-border collaboration and unlock new investment pathways, positioning East Africa as a competitive hub within the broader continental marketplace.
