Senegal removes mandatory vaccination certificate for incoming travellers

Senegal has announced that travellers entering the country are no longer required to present an international vaccination certificate.

In a communiqué issued on Monday, March 9, the Senegalese Ministry of African Integration and Foreign Affairs said that for travellers arriving from countries not affected by epidemic or endemic outbreaks, vaccinations against yellow fever, DPT, measles, and hepatitis A and B are now only recommended for health protection.

The ministry stated that the presentation of a vaccination certificate at entry points is no longer mandatory. According to the communiqué, the update applies specifically to the international vaccination certificate requirements for travellers entering Senegal.
