Morocco donates DRC Task Force computer equipment

Morocco has donated a batch of computer equipment to the task force of the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The donation, as part of Morocco’s active solidarity with the DRC, was handed Thursday by Moroccan ambassador in Kinshasa Rachid Agassim.

This grant is part of the Kingdom’s effective support for the DRC’s mandate at the head of the African Union, said the Moroccan embassy of in the DRC in a press release.

the Rapporteur of the task force Boyoko Baelo Debre thanked Morocco for this token of generosity. He described the donation as a “significant and brotherly [gesture], coming from a country that has always been by the DRC’s side,” the press release said.

Morocco had recently granted financial assistance in favor of the DRC/AU Panel set up by the President of the Republic Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo.

Last June, the Democratic Republic of Congo was one of 15 African countries to receive medical assistance from Morocco to help them in the fight against COVID-19.
