Rigobert Song appointed new coach of the Cameroonian soccer team

The former star defender Rigobert Song was appointed Monday as the new coach of the Cameroonian soccer team, succeeding the Portuguese Toni Conceiçao, announced the Minister of Sports in a statement.
“On very high instructions of the President of the Republic, the coach of the national men’s soccer team, Mr. Antonio Conceiçao, is replaced by Rigobert Song, said Narcisse Mouelle Kombi.
The Cameroonian soccer federation (Fecafoot) confirmed in a statement “the end of the contract” of the Portuguese technician, who failed to finish third in the recent African Cup of Nations that Cameroon hosted.
