Nigeria and Morocco signed, Friday in Abuja, a memorandum of understanding on decentralization.
The memorandum of understanding was inked on the sidelines of the second edition of the African Sub-sovereign Governments Network (AFSNET) by the governor of Ekiti State, chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), John Olukayode Fayemi, and Secretary General of the Association of Regions of Morocco (ARM), Abdennabi Biioui.
The MoU aims to strengthen the capacity of elected officials, exchange experiences in decentralization, communication and cooperation between the regions of the Kingdom of Morocco and the states of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
