The situation Burkina Faso is going through in security and humanitarian fields requires the support of friendly countries like Morocco, the Burkinabe Foreign Minister, Olivia Ragnaghnewendé Rouamba, said Wednesday in Fez.
In a statement to the press following talks with her Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita, on the sidelines of the 9th Forum of the UN Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), the top Burkina Faso’s diplomat said she had discussed this situation with Bourita, stressing the importance of cooperation with Morocco, especially in the humanitarian and health fields.
In this connection, she mentioned the possible sending by the Kingdom of food aid to the population in distress in Burkina Faso, as well as the upcoming signing of a bilateral agreement in the field of health to alleviate the suffering of the sick population in this country.
Rouamba also said she will soon have another bilateral meeting with Bourita to discuss the holding of the joint cooperation commission, noting that her country is also interested in strengthening cooperation with Morocco in the crafts sector.
