The Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulema, under the presidency of King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, is determined to work in the service of Islam, peace and brotherhood that binds Morocco to African countries, including Ethiopia, reiterated, Sunday in Addis Ababa, Secretary General of the Foundation, Mohamed Rifki.
Rifki who was speaking at a ceremony organized by the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulema on the occasion of the closing of the 4th national competition of memorization, recitation and psalmody of the Holy Quran organized in Addis Ababa, by the section of the Foundation in Ethiopia, noted that this stage of the contest in this East African country which offered the opportunity to 50 young boys and girls, was strong insofar as the candidates have shown exceptional talent and the members of the jury have found difficulties to decide between them.
The stage of Addis Ababa reflected the interest given in Ethiopia to the memorization and psalmody of the Holy Quran, stressed the Foundation’s Secretary General.
Rifki emphasized the King’s concern for the Ulema in Africa through the actions of the Foundation in the service of Islam, peace, development and tranquility in the African continent.
He also highlighted the central role of religious scholars in the supervision of societies in accordance with the noble values of Islam which advocates tolerance, coexistence and solidarity.
