Benin, Vietnam poised to boost bilateral cooperation

Benin and Vietnam Thursday August 3 expressed determination to strengthen their ties and bilateral cooperation.

This came in a phone conversation between Olushegun Adjadi Bakari, Benin’s top diplomat and his Vietnamese counterpart Bui Thanh Son, “24 Heures Au Benin” reports.

Adjaji Bakari indicated that his country is keen to learn from Vietnam’s development plan experience.

The two officials proposed the signing of a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) to boost cooperation and the scraping of visa requirements and other documents for officials of both countries, in a bid to create a legal environment that will spur bilateral cooperation.

In addition, the two top diplomats promised to create conducive conditions to share information between companies, investors, promote trade and investment as well as cooperation in the area of agriculture, sciences, telecommunication and information technology.
