Morocco’s King Receives Mauritania’s President, Confirming Strong Bilateral Relations of Trust & Cooperation

King Mohammed VI received Friday at the Royal Palace in Casablanca Mauritania’s President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani.
The meeting shows “the strong relations of trust and cooperation existing between the two countries and sincere brotherly ties between the two brotherly peoples”, said a statement released by the Royal Office.
During this meeting, the two Heads of State hailed the positive momentum in the Morocco-Mauritania partnership in all fields. They also reiterated their keenness to promote strategic projects to connect the two neighboring countries and to coordinate their contributions within the framework of the Royal Initiatives in Africa, notably the Afro-Atlantic gas pipeline and the Initiative offering Atlantic access to Sahel countries.
