DRC: The Sotexki resumes operations

Oui-le-pagne-togolais-a-toutes-ses-chances_ng_image_fullThe textile company of Kisangani (Sotexki) in DRC has resumed its activities on the 29th December after more than a week of suspension due to the lack of raw materials. It has received more than 50 tons of material needed to manufacture fabrics that arrived in Kisangani through the temporary opening of the bridge located at 122 kilometers.

The director of the textile company, Glombert Loko, says the bridge was closed for several weeks because of rehabilitation work. This had complicated the delivery of goods to Kisangani.

According to Glombert Loko, the production teams are working to deliver the products ordered before the shortage of raw materials.

“Today our cotton is at the spinning spot. For a few orders that are late due to the shortage, our customers will be served very soon, “he said.

The director of the Sotexki has announced the launch of a new range of fabrics on the market.

He has invited customers to place orders which, he said, will be honored, explaining that the plant is operational again.

“The aim of Sotexki is to invest in the development of this country and to encourage cotton growers, and also to allow the Congolese trade flows to keep moving,” said Glombert Loko.
