Angola: GAIS Executive Announces First Global Africa Investment Summit to Be Held in Luanda in 2026

Angola will host the inaugural Global Africa Investment Summit in Luanda later this year, the executive manager of the Global Africa Investment Summit (GAIS) announced, reaffirming the country’s position as a hub for continental investment mobilisation.

Presented against the backdrop of the Summit’s launch in Dubai, the announcement signals a concerted effort to attract global capital and unlock Africa’s vast sovereign assets by bringing together Heads of State, investors and private sector leaders.

Angolan President João Lourenço, who attended the launch, described the initiative as an institutional bridge designed to structure investment-ready opportunities with a view to accelerating development and realising the Africa Agenda 2063.

The first edition of the Summit is expected to draw broad participation from international stakeholders and aims to position Luanda as a central platform for investment discussions and deal-making across strategic sectors.
