Angola’s Statistics Institute to Release Farming and Fisheries Survey Results on Tuesday

The National Institute of Statistics will present the results of its Continuous Farming and Fisheries Survey on May 5, 2026, in Luanda.

The survey covers the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 periods and draws data from households and commercial agricultural holdings previously identified in the 2019/2020 census.

The presentation is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. at the institute’s headquarters. Conducted in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (Food and Agriculture Organization) and the World Bank, the exercise forms part of the “50×2030” initiative aimed at strengthening agricultural data systems.

According to officials, the continuous survey model allows for regular monitoring of agricultural and fisheries trends, including seasonal variations and regional production dynamics. The results are expected to support evidence-based policymaking, particularly in advancing food security and reducing dependency on imports.
