Mahama Joins African Leaders for Innovation and AI Forum in Gabon

John Dramani Mahama is in Libreville to participate in the inaugural Libreville International Forum for Innovation and Development, held on May 3, 2026.

The high-level gathering, hosted under the patronage of Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, brings together political leaders, investors and technology experts to explore the role of political stability, business climate and AI (Artificial intelligence) in driving growth.

The Forum also marks the inauguration of the Omar Bongo Ondimba Congress Centre, envisioned as a hub for global dialogue and investment engagement.

Participants are expected to deliberate on governance reforms, improved business environments and the use of AI to advance sustainable development across Africa.

The event will conclude with the adoption of the Libreville Declaration, outlining commitments to transparency, institutional strengthening and digital integration, with Ghana positioning itself within broader continental efforts to align policy with innovation and private sector development.
