“The survey will allow us to understand the current protection levels of the Mozambican population,” said Deputy Health Minister Ilesh Jani, at the launch of the initiative in Maputo.
The Ministry of Health of Mozambique launched on Monday August 14 a survey to assess immunity after vaccination against Covid-19 in the country, a process that will cover 20,000 people in all Mozambican provinces.
The survey will allow us to understand the current protection levels of the Mozambican population,” said Deputy Health Minister Ilesh Jani at the launch of the initiative in Maputo.
The process, budgeted at around 100 million meticais (1.4 million euros), will also serve to assess the situation of active Covid-19 infections in Mozambique, the source said.
The process will be carried out by around 126 professionals over a month and a half.
The survey was funded by the Government of Mozambique, the World Bank, Canada and the Clinton Initiative.
