National Bank of Angola warns about illegal activity of micro-credit company Estev Edmar

The National Bank of Angola (BNA) warned on Thursday the existence of a micro-credit company, Estev Edmar, not qualified for the exercise of financial activities, according to a statement released on its website.
The illegal exercise of financial activity by an unauthorized or unlicensed entity is both a crime and a very serious misdemeanor, punishable by a fine, among other sanctions, and the process is taking its legal course, the BNA said.
The Angolan regulator calls on financial institutions and the general public to refrain from establishing business relations with this company, as well as its promoters, under penalty of criminal and misdemeanor liability.
