Morocco’s King Condemns Any Violation of the Security of Gulf States As a Serious, Unacceptable Aggression

King Mohammed VI of Morocco on Saturday held phone calls with several Gulf leaders following Iranian attacks on the sovereignty of those countries, the Royal Office said in a statement.

The King thus held several phone conversations with his Gulf brothers, namely Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates; King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain; Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia; and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.

During these phone calls, the Monarch reiterated Morocco’s strong condemnation of the blatant attacks targeting the sovereignty of these brotherly countries and the integrity of their territories. The King also expressed Morocco’s full support and solidarity with them in all legitimate measures they deem appropriate to preserve their security and the safety and peace of mind of their citizens, the statement said.
Based on the deep fraternal ties and ongoing solidarity binding the Kingdom of Morocco to these brotherly states, the King stressed that the security and stability of the Gulf countries are an indivisible part of the security and stability of the Kingdom of Morocco, and that any violation of their safety constitutes a serious and unacceptable aggression and a direct threat to stability in the region, the Royal Office added in the statement.

Earlier Saturday, the Moroccan Foreign Ministry released a statement pointing out that Morocco condemns in the strongest terms the abject Iranian missile attack that violated the integrity and security of brotherly Arab states, namely Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan.

A statement emphasizes that the Kingdom of Morocco considers this aggression a flagrant violation of the national sovereignty of these States, an unacceptable infringement on their security and a direct threat to the stability of the region.

Morocco affirms its full solidarity with the brotherly Arab states in all legitimate measures they take to respond to this attack and protect their security, as well as the peace of their citizens and residents, the Foreign Ministry says.
