Morocco’s King Inaugurates Youth-Oriented Projects in Agadir Region

Région Souss-Massa : Sa Majesté le Roi Mohammed VI inaugure la plateforme des jeunes «Argana» pour l’écoute et l’orientation

King Mohammed VI inaugurated, on Wednesday in the commune of Ait Melloul (Agadir region) “Argana” center for youth listening and guidance, a pilot project carried out within the frame of the 3rd phase of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH).

The project, which cost the State treasury over 722,000, seeks to improve the income and economic inclusion of young people, through a variety of tools encouraging entrepreneurship for better socio-economic integration.

The Youth of the Souss-Massa region will benefit from the “Integrated program of support and financing of enterprises” spearheaded by the Sovereign to facilitate access to funding of the young entrepreneurs and very small businesses (VSB).

The “Argana” center, which offers business and financial counseling services for start-ups, includes departments for entrepreneurship & employment, a conference hall, a library, sports center and a mini-football field.

Two community cultural centers were also set up for the youth of the Souss-Massa region. These are “Dar Momkin” and “Les etoiles du Souss”. They will receive young wishing to improve their education or acquire new artistic skills to encourage creativity, civism, innovation…

The Sovereign also handed twenty-eight minibuses, including 26 for school transport and two for the transport of sportsmen, to the presidents of communes and beneficiary associations in the Agadir region. These buses will help to improve schooling conditions, combat rural school dropouts and promote sports activities.
