Moroccan football club RS Berkane qualified Sunday for the 2025 CAF Confederation Cup final after securing a 4-1 aggregate won over Algeria’s CS Constantine.
Last week, Berkane crashed Constantine 4-0 in their first leg match played at home, while in the second leg game, they lost 1-0, a score enabling the Moroccan club, two-time winners of the competition, to advance to the final.
The Algerian club started aggressively, pushing Berkane deep into their own half and creating a flurry of chances, particularly in the second half, but the Moroccan club managed the game with experience and discipline despite coming under relentless pressure.
For Constantine, the 1-0 victory was a small consolation after fruitless attempt to overturn the heavy 4-0 defeat in the first-leg.
RS Berkane will now meet Simba SC of Tanzania in the final, after Simba edged Stellenbosch of South Africa over two legs.
