Ethiopia and South Africa have reaffirmed their resolve to elevate their strategic partnership, following high-level talks between Abiy Ahmed and Cyril Ramaphosa on the sidelines of the 39th African Union Summit.
The meeting, held in Addis Ababa, focused on consolidating longstanding bilateral relations and broadening cooperation across key sectors. Discussions centred on strengthening political coordination, deepening economic collaboration and advancing joint engagement on continental priorities.
Prime Minister Abiy disclosed that the talks took place on the second day of the summit, underscoring the importance both governments attach to structured dialogue and sustained diplomatic engagement.
