An American -Israeli delegation, led by senior U.S. presidential advisor Jared Kushner and Israel’s National Security Advisor, Meier Ben Shabbat, arrived Tuesday in Rabat aboard a plane of El Al Airline Company, marking the first direct flight between Morocco and Israel.
The visit comes few days after American recognition of Morocco’s full sovereignty over the entire Sahara and the announcement of the establishment of relations between Morocco and Israel.
According to press reports, the US-Israeli delegation will hold high-level meetings with Moroccan officials.
Prior his arrival in Morocco, Mr. Jared, son-in-law of US President Donald Trump, told Moroccan daily “Al Ahdath Al Maghribia”, that the autonomy plan offered by the Kingdom for an enduring settlement of the Sahara issue is “the only realistic option for a just, lasting and acceptable solution” to this regional conflict.
