President Denis Sassou Nguesso was sworn in on April 16, following his re-election in the March 15 presidential poll, marking the start of a new five-year term in the Republic of the Congo of Central Africa. The inauguration ceremony, held at Kintélé Stadium, drew several African Heads of State and dignitaries.
In his inaugural address, the president outlined his development agenda, centred on economic diversification, infrastructure expansion, agricultural mechanisation, education, youth training, and healthcare improvements. He emphasised that peace, stability, and infrastructure would anchor his new administration.
He further urged citizens to embrace Pan-Africanism and deepen regional integration, while reaffirming his commitment to advancing Africa’s broader economic development agenda.
